Join us as we address maintenance needs on parts of Dale Ball Trails, Central Section,  south of Hyde Park Rd.

Travel on Hyde Park Rd. past the intersection for the “Corral” trailhead (Sierra del Norte Rd./Cerros Colorados), then take your first right, onto Kachina Heights Dr.  (the uninhabited city street with a Dale Ball trail crossing).

Bring work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, sun protection, snacks, and water.

Trailwork on the La Piedra Connector to the Dale Ball Trails.

Park and meet on Hyde Park Road crossing of the Little Tesuque Creek. There is a hike down the Little Tesuque trail where it meets the La Piedra Trail.

Wear a hat, long pants, long sleeves and sturdy shoes/boots that cover the ankles.

All tools are provided.

Bring plenty of water and sunscreen.

Help Santa Fe Fat Tire Society work on the first professionally designed and constructed purpose built mountain bike trail in the Santa Fe area.

If you are hiking in, tools will be provided at Calabasas Trailhead to carry in at 9 am.  Please bring gloves and wear sturdy shoes and long pants.

If you are biking in, please park at Frijoles Trailhead or elsewhere and meet us at the top of the Flow Trail at 9:15, or somewhere down the trail after that.

Come prepared for the weather with appropriate clothing, sunscreen, hat, and plenty of water.  Let me know if you are coming so I can get an idea of how many to expect, thank you.

Looking for a few people to work on general maintenance in the Dale Ball Central and North area. Pleas send an email to Judy Costlow if you plan on attending as there will be a limited number of tools available.

Join us as we address maintenance needs on parts of Dale Ball Trails, Central Section,  south of Hyde Park Rd.  Let’s meet at the “Corral” trailhead (Sierra del Norte Rd./Cerros Colorados Rd.) at 8:30, then we can carpool up Cerros Colorados Rd. to minimize the number of cars we need to park up there.

We will work off of Cerros Colorados Rd. where it is crossed by Dale Ball Trails.  There is some parking space on the gravel where the trail emerges just w. of Junction 21.  We will focus on needs north and south of Junction 19.  If we have enough folks we may have some head east to spots around Junction 15 as well.
