This is the small parking area on the left, about halfway from Cerro Gordo Park to Upper Canyon Rd. (If there’s not enough space we can shuttle to and from Cerro Gordo Trailhead at Upper Canyon Rd.)

There will be a workday on the lower Winsor, 9am-3pm Saturday November 11th. We’ll be completing the raising of the trail tread in the “narrows” section, just above the highest bridge on the lower Winsor and doing some prep work for bridging the remaining 3 Winsor/Big Tesuque creek crossings.
This will be a “ride in workday”. We have permission from Bishop’s Lodge to meet and park on their property. Head North on Bishop’s Lodge Road, passing the main Bishop’s Lodge entrance, to Bauer Road. There’s a small parking area on the left just after the gate on Bauer road and/or we can park where the stables and tennis courts used to be. This is still a FS workday, so long sleeves, long pants, head protection are still required. Helmets will work in place of hard hats. We have authorization for mechanized support and will be able to carry boots, gloves and long pants for everyone. You will need to bring water and food.
We won’t be able to do the work if the ground is frozen so this workday will only happen if the low Friday night is above 20 and the forecast high is at least 40.
Please RSVP to make sure we have enough tools.
