Trails Alliance of Santa Fe monthly meeting 12:00 pm Trails Alliance of Santa Fe monthly meeting May 6 @ 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm Volunteers discuss up coming trail work and issues with city, county and USFS folks. Open to everybody. | ||||||
Please consider joining us to help complete the Camino de Cruz Blanca Trail. A 90-ft.-long section of the trail was never built, and we have been asked to fill in the gap.
This is a little different from our typical trail work – we will prepare a four-foot wide surface, place weed barrier, metal edging, and steps, fill in with crusher fines, and compact. We will be working at 1300 Camino de Cruz Blanca: Closest parking is at Dorothy Stewart trailhead, Wilderness Gate Trailhead, or St. John’s Trailhead.
Let me know if you can make it. Thanks! – Tim
Teen volunteers will join with Santa Fe County personnel and Tano Road Association volunteers to build a .5 mile trail in a wide easement on the south side of Tano Road between Montoyas and San Rafael. We’ll meet at the intersection of Tano and Montoyas.
Come join Santa Fe Fat Tire Society’s master bridge-builders as we replace a bridge over a tributary of the Arroyo de los Pinos in this City Open Space above Calle Lorca Park.
Please RSVP so I know how many folks plan to come. Thanks!
PS If it snows or we have freezing temperatures, this work event may be cancelled.
Come join us as we repair some small culvert crossings and perform other trail maintenance on this subdivision trail belonging to the City of Santa Fe. Our first work visit to the Vista del Freeway trails!
Please RSVP so I know how many folks plan to come. Thanks!
PS If it snows or we have freezing temperatures, this work event may be cancelled.
The Santa Fe Fat Tire Society and the Santa Fe Conservation Trust invite you to a gathering to guide planning toward SFFTS’s vision of a singletrack loop trail around Santa Fe – the Grand Unified Trail System (GUTS).
Working with local land managers, the trail user and volunteer community, and the National Parks Service’s Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) program, we are assembling a project steering committee to develop the “GUTS” vision and outline steps toward achieving it.
In this meeting, we will work with interested partners to define the partnership, roles, process, and composition of the steering committee and draft a schedule of work toward the GUTS vision.
We are holding a first meeting to this end on Fri., Feb. 20, from 12 noon to 1:30 pm at the Santa Fe Conservation Trust office, and we hope you will join us.
Please RSVP by email to tim@sfct.org so we know we have enough lunch for everyone.
