All hikes happen once a month on a Saturday at 10 am.  Locations vary for each hike.

One hike per month, June through October:

June 5th Vámonos Hike, National Trails Day & “Take a Kid Hiking Day”
La Tierra Trails, Frijoles Trailhead
657-725 Camino de los Montoyas
(Moderate hike on a dirt trail)

July 10th Vámonos Hike
County Rail Trail at Rabbit Rd Trailhead,
249-251 Rabbit Rd Santa Fe
(Easy hike on a dirt trail)

August 7th Vámonos Hike
Dale Bale Trail, North Trailhead at Sierra Del Norte & Hyde Park Rd
(Moderate hike on dirt trail)

September 18th Vámonos Hike, “Scavenger Hunt!”
Arroyo Hondo Open Space
(Meet at Old Agua Fria Rd E)
(Easy hike on dirt trail)

October 23th (10 AM) Vámonos Hike in Pecos National Historical Park
(3.8 mile dirt trail hike on S. Pasture Loop trail)
RSVP required to info@sfct.org for bus transportation to trailhead

Galisteo Basin Work Day @ Cottonwood Trailhead, Galisteo Basin Preserve
Sep 22 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Please join us for a work day improving erosion control in the Galisteo Basin, on land belonging to the Santa Fe Conservation Trust.

Bring mask, work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, sun protection, snacks, and water.  I’ll bring the tools!

Vamonos – Walk with Our Elders @ Bicentennial/Alto Park

All walks meet on Friday at 10 AM at 1121 Alto Street and we’ll walk in Bicentennial/Alto Park.

Mid-Town Study Cruise @ Ashbaugh Park: In the back at Acequia Trail

St. Michael’s Village West Shopping Center: Howling for Better Trail Connectivity into Mid-Town Campus

Please join this bicycle ride to examine pedestrian and bicycle connectivity, or lack thereof, to the City’s Mid-Town Campus.

We will start at the back of Ashbaugh Park in order to experience how routes from the Acequia Trail might relate to the campus, then circle around the campus via Franklin Miles Park before arriving at the Santa Fe Higher Education Center on campus in time to visit the City’s Open House on the project there.

Acequia and River Cruise @ Aspen Community School
Apr 2 2022 @ 11:00 am – Apr 2 2021 @ 12:00 pm

Join this mellow community bicycle ride visiting trails, parks, and mellow streets along the Acequia Madre and the Santa Fe River.  We will meet at the Fix It Fiesta at Aspen Community School at 11 am and make our way to Alto Park between the ballfields, to set sail along the river.  If you would like to wait for us in Alto Park, watch out for goatheads in this area!

I hope you can join us!  Come earlier if you want to get your bike looked at by a qualified mechanic.
