Come help SFCT volunteers maintain La Tierra Trails. We will meet at the mailboxes on Camino La Tierra, about one-half mile north of Relief Route, and carpool to the east end of E Wildflower.
Bring work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, sun protection, snacks, and water. I’ll bring the tools!
To sign up, contact Tim Rogers at tim @ sfct.org
Please consider joining a first-ever early morning community (bike) cruise, the Tour del Arroyo Chamiso!
Starting with the Nina Otero Community School’s “Bike Train,” which leaves SWAN Park every Tuesday morning at 7 am, we will slow-cruise the Arroyo Chamiso Trail of Tierra Contenta, we will travel a Pop-Up Protected Bike Lane on Paseo del Sol (up all day, thanks to the Santa Fe Metropolitan Planning Organization and the City of Santa Fe), and after dropping off the students at Nina Otero Community School, we will navigate what we can of the Arroyo de los Chamisos Trail proper, from Cerrillos Rd. and Las Soleras through Nava Ade and all the way to the Rail Trail and beyond.
If you can’t catch the Bike Train at 7 am, meet us at Nina Otero at 8 am, for the Tour del Arroyo Chamiso. And if you don’t learn something about navigating Santa Fe by bike, then you should be leading these tours!
