Dog Park Connector – complete!

Come help City trail volunteers to maintain La Tierra Trails.  We will meet at the small trailhead at “Junction 22” on the way to the Motocross Track.  We will proceed on foot toward the area of Junctions 19, 20 and 21 – a/k/a the Woops – to do erosion control work and shore up a small bridge.

Getting to Junction 22 by motor vehicle requires heading west on the Relief Route from Camino de los Montoyas and taking your first right, onto the once unmarked road that is now identified as “Mirada Rd.” on Google Maps.  Then take your first and only left (toward the motocross track), and the small Junction 22 trailhead will be on your right.  (The best depiction of this location is on the city’s La Tierra Trails map, available at http://www.santafenm.gov/document_center/document/626 )

Bring work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, sun protection, snacks, and water.

Meet at Cerro Gordo Trailhead at 9 am to take care of the tread on the new connection north to Dale Ball Trails – Central Section.  Via the new bridge!

Bring work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, and water.  Let me know if you can make it, or if you can’t try out the trail on your own some time soon and let us know what you think.

Saturday, May 12th, Borrego / Bear Wallow trailhead 8:45am.  We’ll be hiking in approximately 2 miles to the meadow above the Borrego/Winsor intersection to work on a sustainable reroute of the fall line trail through the meadow.

Please send and email via the event contact above if you plan on attending.

Meet at Cerro Gordo Trailhead at 9 am to take care of maintenance needs on Dale Ball Trails – South Section.  If you haven’t seen the new bridge near the trailhead, we can take a look in that direction, too.

Join us to touch up some curves and transitions and to prevent erosion along the new “Arbolitos Trail.”

We are meeting at the corner of Ridgetop Rd. and Tano Rd.  (Some parking is nearby on Ridge Point Loop.)

Bring work boots, long pants/shirt sleeves, sun protection, snacks, and water. I’ll bring the tools and supplies as well as work gloves for whoever needs them.
